Mary Guedelha, is a Brazilian novelist, creative powerhouse whose storytelling journey began at the young age of 14, when she wrote her first book, Family Secret. Though unpublished at the time, it marked the beginning of a lifelong passion for fiction and visual narrative.
In 2010, she officially debuted with Relationship, a novel that sold over 12,183 copies and introduced her voice to the world. By 2018, Mary returned to her roots and released the long-awaited Family Secrets on Amazon, which became a breakout success selling over 9,331 copies in just six months. The buzz led to widespread media attention, including features in newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.
Mary’s career soon evolved beyond the page. Since 2013, she has worked as a producer and screenwriter, passionately transforming books into series, documentaries, and feature films. With a deep commitment to storytelling in all forms, she mastered the behind-the-scenes process screenplay development, pitch decks, visual treatments, and video editing. Her dedication earned her recognition and support from international producers, making her a trusted name in the adaptation industry.
In 2019, Mary published American Dream, a powerful narrative that evolved into a docu-series she developed and produced. Centered on the real-life stories of six Brazilian women living in California, the American Dream series gained traction with major networks and platforms, receiving positive feedback for its pitch deck and treatment. It became a defining project that showcased Mary's ability to merge journalistic realism with cinematic depth.
Mary is also a mentor to emerging authors around the world, guiding them through the complex paths of editing, publishing, and adapting their work for screen. As CEO of MYTH Entertainment LLC, based in California, she leads projects that blend literary strength with visual impact serving clients across continents.
Her presence is international. She has been featured in world renowned book fairs, including Frankfurter Buchmesse (2020), Lisbon Book Fair (2021), Liber Book Fair in Madrid (2023), and Turin International Book Fair (2024). Her awards include a Book Review Honor for Family Secrets (2018), 4th place in the Kinolime Screenwriter Competition (2023), and recognition for International Impression (2022).

The unconditional mutual support makes their friendship stronger. Thus overcoming all the obstacles that life presents to them, work, family, responsibility, money, relationships, commitment and above all, love and friendship are some of the issues that worry and sometimes amuse these characters.

In addition, a new documentary exploring the life and actions of John Meehan is currently in development, with Mary participating directly in the production and sharing her firsthand perspective. The documentary is also scheduled for release on Netflix.
